Kids Diapers and Your Options
When it comes to diapers also known as nappies you have 2 choices and each has it advantages and disadvantages.
Modern Cloth Diapers
Cloth diapers have come along way in the past 10 years. You no longer have to soak or bleach your cloth nappies, nor do you have to use pins or fold and separate covers. Modern cloth nappies now come in predesigned and manufactured styles that fit your baby through to young child and you no longer need to spend a large amount of time putting these nappies on. Now you can just pull the nappies up as they are designed as snug fitting undies. Some brands have a one size fits all design which fits your baby and all the way up to the end of toilet training.
Modern cloth nappies are manufactured with a special internal absorbent layer that makes the nappies suitable for day and night time use. This super absorbent layer helps keep your baby dry when it counts.
Using cloth nappies means you need to wash them and this is why alot of people stop using them. But the modern cloth nappies are easy to wash and dry making them alot easier to use than old style cloth nappies. This makes them a lot more environmentally friendly.
Disposable diapers are easy to use, they are designed to be quick to put on and once you take them off you just throw them out. Disposable nappies are for this reason looked upon as being less environmentally friendly as they are very wasteful. But the advantage of disposable nappies is that they are less work and you do not have to wash anything.
